2) Wear resistance, low coefficient of friction, and resistance to chemicals such as engine oil, acids, and alkalis;

3) Low water absorption, dimensional stability, and resistance to warping or deformation;

4) Good heat resistance, with flammability properties easily modified to achieve a V-0 rating;

5) Neat PBT has moderate toughness; it is typically reinforced with glass fiber and modified for enhanced toughness in practical applications.
